The University of Michigan provides no-charge employee counseling services as part of its commitment to the health and well-being of its faculty and staff community. At this time, many of these services are provided by phone or video conference.
Staff, faculty, retirees, benefits-eligible adult dependents, as well as entire departments have access to personal counseling, coaching, training, and consultation from the Office of Counseling and Workplace Resilience in Michigan Medicine and the Faculty and Staff Counseling and Consultation Office (FASCCO) on the Ann Arbor, Flint, and Dearborn campuses.
These services are confidential and seek to enhance the emotional health, well-being and job performance of members of the university community.
Mental Health Counseling and Consultation Services are part of U-M Health and Well-Being Services, which also includes MHealthy and Occupational Health Services.
If you are an employee living outside of Michigan, you and your benefits-eligible adult dependents can access confidential, short-term counseling services (up to five sessions) at no charge by calling ComPsych toll free, 844-206-1126 (TTY: 800-697-0353). You can speak by phone with a clinician or be referred to a counselor or other resource in your area.
