Culture Change Foundations: Improving Workplace Climate

This foundational course will guide learners through the first step in embarking on a culture change journey. First, the course establishes a shared language for understanding and talking about what culture is, what climate is, and how the two are interrelated. Next, the course explores methods to affect climate and wraps up with a model for culture change. The model will help learners to consider principles and steps to create culture change that sticks.

Microlearning Goal Setting Workshop: How to use SMART Goals

This interactive workshop will give you the opportunity to plan ahead by considering what success will look like for you in the coming year. You will leave with a draft of a specific measurable goal and tips for having a discussion and reaching agreement with your team and/or your leader.

Institutional Strategies for Interrupting and Mitigating Bias in the Workplace 

This workshop will help participants identify institutional bias in the context of a university environment and understand the relationship between bias and culture. Participants will leave the workshop with a change model designed to overcome institutional bias. 

Day two is a practice lab follow-up to day one where participants will have the opportunity to extrapolate components of their framework developed in the workshop and apply what they have learned by examining case studies.

Interpersonal Strategies for Interrupting and Mitigating Bias in the Workplace 

This workshop will provide learners with the opportunity to consider science-based research frameworks for interrupting and mitigating bias in the workplace on a personal level. We will investigate factors that trigger bias, and explore the implications of stereotypes in the workplace. We will also share research directly related to bias in the workplace. Participants will leave the workshop with a tailored plan and toolkit for interrupting and mitigating bias in the workplace.

However, research indicates that over two-thirds of major strategic initiatives fail to be executed. This session presents recent research that identifies critical success factors in translating and progressing from strategy to execution. Specifically, the participants will explore the importance of clarity, teamwork, agility and culture in successfully implementing a strategy.
