Every member of the faculty and staff who works for a University of Michigan campus can reach out to us for help.
Dearborn and Flint Campuses
FASCCO offers a number of short-term assessment and counseling services designed to help active or retired staff and faculty members and their immediate benefit-eligible adult family members with personal difficulties encountered in either their personal or work life.
All FASCCO services are free of charge. Services for U-M Dearborn and U-M Flint are provided by either FASCCO affiliate counselors near their respective campuses or by FASCCO staff.
Currently, services are provided via telehealth, phone, and some limited In-person visits. The professional staff at FASCCO and its affiliate counselors adhere to the ethical principles and licensure requirements of their respective professions.
We protect client confidentiality except where it is legally limited (such as in child/elder abuse cases or threats of harm). A full explanation of confidentiality protocols is available by contacting FASCCO.
To schedule an appointment or inquire about services at the UM-Dearborn and UM-Flint campuses, please call (734) 936-8660 or email [email protected].
Out of State Faculty and Staff
Services are for Faculty and Staff who live outside of the State of Michigan, but within the USA, are available for all U-M and Michigan Medicine employees. These services are provided in partnership with ComPysch, a national provider of Mental and Behavioral Health Services. Staff and faculty can access a counseling resource in their area (within one’s state of residence) or speak to a counselor by phone. See this webpage for more about the support offered by ComPsych, including a video overview.
