U-M faculty, staff, retirees and their families have access to a broad range of tobacco treatment options as well as MHealthy's confidential educational program to help manage mild to moderate alcohol problems.
Alcohol Management Program
Is your drinking starting to have an adverse effect on your work, health or relationships? The Alcohol Management Program is a brief, confidential educational program that helps you cut back on your drinking or quit altogether — you decide which is the right approach for you. Program fee is waived for U-M faculty and staff. The program is available to UMHS patients and community members for a fee.

Tobacco Consultation Service
The MHealthy Tobacco Consultation Service (TCS) offers programs to help both employees and students of the University of Michigan, as well as patients of the University of Michigan Health System to quit tobacco. TCS offers a variety of tobacco treatment options to meet the needs of the U of M community. TCS provides tobacco treatment services in a non-judgmental, supportive environment. We do not lecture or use scare tactics.

To promote healthier campuses, the University of Michigan is tobacco-free. This policy includes all university-owned and -operated buildings, facilities and vehicles on U-M’s campuses in Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Flint.
