Exercise and Relaxation Classes

*IMPORTANT NOTICE: As COVID-19 continues to impact the university, in-person MHealthy exercise and relaxation classes will continue to be on hold indefinitely. It is MHealthy’s intention to bring back in-person classes once we feel we can offer them in a safe and responsible manner. In the meantime, free live exercise and relaxation classes are available to university faculty and staff on U-M Slack. Thank you for your continued support!

Live-stream Exercise and Relaxation Classes now on Slack!

We’re here for you! Join a live Zoom exercise and relaxation class in the well-being and benefits channel, on the umichWORKS Slack workspace. For access, please be sure to activate your free U-M Slack account, and join the umichWORKS workspace - it's just for Faculty and Staff. It’s where we can focus on making Blue go! We can connect, collaborate and come together virtually in support of our missions and one another. Once you log in at slack.umich.edu, you’ll get an automated invitation to umichWORKS. Invitations are sent via the "U-M ITS Slack Attendant" bot every day at about 10:15 a.m. Look for the message in "Apps" at the bottom of the sidebar on the left.

Live-stream Schedule:

  • Mondays – Seated Movement and Flexibility, Zumba, and Cardio Kickboxing

  • Tuesdays – Resistance Band Strength, Just Breathe – Meditation, Abs and Back

  • Wednesdays – Circuit Strength, Healthy Back, and Zumba

  • Thursdays  – Stability Ball, Yoga, H.I.I.T

  • Fridays – Stretch and Strengthen

How to Join Slack

  • If you’ve already joined U-M Slack, you should already have the umichWORKS workspace. Search for "umichWORKS" in the search bar or check for a message from the "U-M ITS Slack Attendant" bot in "Apps" at the bottom of the sidebar on the left. 

  • If you haven’t joined U-M Slack yet, this link will take you to a sign-up page. Sign up with your @umich.edu email (if you work at Michigan Medicine do not use your med.umich.edu email). Once you’ve signed up, a receive an automated invitation from the "U-M ITS Slack Attendant" bot in "Apps" at the bottom of the sidebar on the left. The invites are sent every day at about 10:15 a.m. So, if you sign up after that time, the invite will be sent on the following workday.
