The university has numerous child care resources, including three on-campus child care centers, ten family home providers, back-up child care services, a family helpers posting board, student scholarships and grants, and premium membership to an online marketplace of family and child caregivers.

While these resources have supported thousands of faculty and staff over the years, challenges to child and family care remain for some. In response, a team is exploring potential additional supports.

This effort is initially focused on the Ann Arbor campus. Michigan Medicine, along with the Dearborn and Flint campuses are considering the adoption of some of the recommendations within their existing practices.
