The MHealthy Portal, powered by Asset Health, gives you access to a more inclusive suite of health and well-being programs and resources, including the annual health questionnaire (available January through May), goal setting, wellness challenges like Active U, and much more – all on a single platform!

June 2024 MHealthy Portal Update: Benefits-eligible faculty and staff who have set a preferred name through Wolverine Access will now see it displayed on the MHealthy Portal. Please refer to the U-M Preferred Names Policy for more information and to learn how to enter, update, and/or delete your preferred name.

Who can access the MHealthy Portal
All active, benefits-eligible faculty and staff (excluding those who are only eligible for the U-M GradCare health plan) and their spouse/other qualified adult (enrolled in a U-M health plan) can access the full MHealthy Portal.

Non-benefits eligible faculty and staff, spouses/other qualified adults (of active faculty or staff members not enrolled in a U-M health plan), retirees, temporary staff, students, and alumni will have access to Active U and Active U Autumn programs only.

Note:

Newly hired benefits-eligible faculty and staff will gain access to the MHealthy Portal approximately 10 business days after they have elected their e-benefits online. Their U-M benefits-enrolled spouse/other qualified adult will also gain access at this time.

If at any time an employee’s employment changes with the university, this may impact their ability and their spouse/OQA’s ability to access the MHealthy Portal and the Active U program.

How to access the MHealthy Portal

If this will be your first time on the new MHealthy Portal, you may need to do a first-time login process. For the best experience, it is recommended that you use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to access the MHealthy Portal. However, if using Firefox, please log into Wolverine Access first before accessing the MHealthy Portal.

How you log into the portal will depend on your affiliation with the university.

U-M Affiliation	How to access the MHealthy Portal
Active Faculty/Staff (Benefits-Eligible) Please note: Faculty and staff who are on long-term disability can not access the portal.	Log in using your U-M uniqname and UMICH Level-1 password.
Spouse/Other Qualified Adult (Enrolled in U-M Health Plan)	You will need to know the employee’s 8-digit UMID. The first time you log in, you must use a default username and password: Default Username: Employee 8-digit UMID + Your First Name + MMDD of Your Date of Birth Default Password: Employee 8-digit UMID + MMDD of Your Date of Birth After the first login, you will be asked to create your own unique username and password.
Faculty/Staff (Non-Benefits Eligible), Spouse/Other Qualified Adult (Not Enrolled in a U-M Health Plan), Temporary Staff, Retirees, Alumni and Students	Select your affiliation with U-M, then “Register Here.” Enter “goblue” in the Authorization Code field and complete the rest of the form. You will need to know your 8-digit UMID number. Spouses/OQAs will need to use the employee’s 8-digit UMID.

Confidentiality

Your privacy is important to us. The information provided within the MHealthy Portal, powered by Asset Health and within the Asset Health mobile app is treated as confidential. To protect your privacy, the University of Michigan has contracted with Asset Health, Inc. to administer online mobile health and well-being programs, resources, the health questionnaire, Active U program, and a dedicated section for MHealthy Champions.

The University of Michigan also utilizes a national leader in healthcare analytics and data management as its data warehouse vendor. Data are stored using unique unidentifiable codes that are created by the vendor. Those codes are not shared with University of Michigan employees or external parties.

Information that is collected will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of our programs and services (quality assurance), contribute to scientific research and process your incentive if applicable. When used for evaluation and scientific research, only aggregate (group) data will be considered, with no personally identifiable information. This helps the university better understand the collective health of our faculty, staff and their families and to assist with planning future programs that address the needs of our community.

Your personally identifiable health data will not be shared with your manager, nor will it be added to any U-M faculty or staff files. In addition, your information will not affect insurance coverage or benefits nor will they be disclosed to your insurance company.
