Enjoy the thrill of being on the field at Michigan Stadium and join hundreds of your colleagues for fitness and fun!
Date: Thursday, September 19, 2024
Time: 3 – 6:30 p.m.
Location: Michigan Stadium (enter at Gate 1 by the tunnel)
Cost: FREE
Who can attend: Open to University of Michigan faculty and staff.
On the Field:
Note: You may need to create an account. Please use your U-M email. You may receive an email from [email protected] to confirm your email address.
This event will reach capacity, so register early. Please register for no more than ONE session (multiple registrations will be removed). On event day, bring your U-M Employee ID and class wristband (or pick it up at check-in on the concourse that day).
All levels of fitness and skill are welcome; no experience required.

3:15 p.m.: Football Skills and Thrills
You’re on the field of Michigan Stadium – what better place to perform exercises inspired by popular training drills! Catch a pass in the end zone, throw a football, kick a field goal—you could be a contender! Have fun burning calories and conditioning your body. NOTE: This is a no-contact class. No equipment needed for this class. Participants should wear tennis shoes / sneakers and bring a water bottle. -
4:00 p.m.: Yoga
This class encourages relaxation, strength, flexibility and balance with an emphasis on integrated breathing techniques in a variety of poses and postures. Participants bring a water bottle and yoga mat. -
4:45 p.m.: Yoga
This class encourages relaxation, strength, flexibility and balance with an emphasis on integrated breathing techniques in a variety of poses and postures. Participants bring a water bottle and yoga mat. -
5:30 p.m.: Zumba
This class is more like a party than a workout! People always worry and say they can’t dance or they don’t know how to “do it right.” Don’t worry – as long as you keep moving and have fun, you will be “performing Zumba” just right. Participants should wear tennis shoes / sneakers and bring a water bottle.
On the Concourse:
There’s plenty to do off the field too! Activities on the concourse are open to everyone; visit the concourse even if you did not sign up for an on-field session.

Wheelchair Ultimate: This is an exciting twist on Ultimate Frisbee led by the U-M Adaptive Sport & Fitness team. This unique sport, born from the creativity of athletes with disabilities, blends elements of basketball, rugby, and handball into one exhilarating game. Players will navigate specially designed wheelchairs that emphasize speed, agility, and balance, all while enjoying a unique and inclusive experience. No worries if you're new to this — all abilities are welcome! Start times: 3:35 p.m., 4:35 p.m., 5:35 p.m.

Cardio Drumming: Come join this class that takes simple movement – drumming – to a whole other level. Open to all fitness levels, this low-impact, high-energy class will help you boost your metabolism and your mood! Start times: 3:15 p.m., 4:15 p.m., 5:15 p.m.

Exercises to Improve Balance: Strengthen the brain/ body connection with some exercises to engage your core, ankles, knees and hips to build better balance. All equipment will be provided. All exercises will be done standing but can be modified using a chair. Start times: 3:55 p.m., 4:55 p.m., 5:55 p.m.

Make your mark on a shared community quilt! Participants will contribute through hand quilting techniques in the style of historic American hand quilting and a Japanese technique called sashiko. Whether you have been sewing for many years or have never threaded a needle, you can contribute to the quilt!
