Organizational Learning provides programs (courses, webinars or other events) and resources that are curated to support institution-wide culture change initiatives. We consider learning a lifelong endeavour and encourage every member of the community to take advantage of the wide array of learning opportunities available. Reflection is a critical aspect of learning and growing. The following list includes learning opportunities that will allow for that reflection. In addition, we have included some tools, resources and exercises that you can use for yourself or with your in-unit programming.

Culture and Climate

Culture Change Foundations: Improving Workplace Climate

This foundational course will guide learners through the first step in embarking on a culture change journey. Open to any U-M faculty or staff member who would like to learn more about how culture change can improve relationships in the workplace.

Leadership and Culture: Creating a Positive Work Environment

This foundational course provides managers with the tools and knowledge to lead a successful culture change journey within their team. Open to any U-M managers or supervisors who would like to learn how to make positive changes to their workplace climate and culture.

Leadership and Culture: Strategies to Prevent Workplace Issues and Retaliation

This course gives leaders tools and strategies to create a more welcoming and respectful work environment. Open to U-M Leaders with at least one direct report who would like to create an environment where employees feel safe to express concerns, provide feedback and report complaints without fear of retaliation.

Organizational Learning has created several self-paced LinkedIn Learning Collections to help you achieve your learning goals. Check out the Culture Change set of collections for self-paced learning related to culture change topics, including diversity, equity and inclusion. Preventing Retaliation

The "Building a Culture That Thrives: Preventing Retaliation" online module for faculty and staff provides information about preventing retaliation and protecting those who report improper behavior in support of the Protection from Retaliation policy.
