The Michigan Medicine Mandatory Influenza Vaccination Policy (04-06-030) requires all faculty, staff, learners and volunteers to be compliant with the policy by Dec. 1, 2024. This includes all employees who may be working remotely.
Members of AFSCME, BMETs of the Skilled Trades Union, HOA, IUOE, UPAMM and UMPNC collective bargaining units should refer to their contracts and/or memoranda of understanding pertaining to flu vaccinations for additional information that applies to each of the respective unions.
Each workforce member is required to login to their Enterprise Health portal to complete the 2024 Seasonal Influenza Questionnaire.
OHS recently implemented a new employee medical record system, Enterprise Health, which has replaced Health Rx. Each employee will need to access their individual employee portal in Enterprise Health using their UMICH (Level-1) credentials to initiate the course of action for compliance with the flu program requirements.
Within the portal, workforce members can upload proof of flu vaccination for review and approval, complete the vaccine administration questionnaire to receive a flu shot from an OHS clinic or department flu liaison, request a medical or religious exemption or, for UMPNC members, complete the declination process. Flu vaccinations must be received on or after August 1st of the current flu season to be considered eligible.
