Request weekly or monthly status reports from stakeholders involved in a project that is not following the action plan and missing deadlines. Create or use an existing template for team members to utilize.

Request to manage a group of people in a rapidly expanding or growing operation.

Represent your unit at university and community events.

Represent your department on a committee to review organizational priorities.

Regularly meet with reports and promote opportunities for them to participate in meetings and unit conferences or events.

Reflect on your biases. What are they and how could they impact your interactions with others? Develop a goal pertaining to mitigating one bias. Check your progress weekly.
