Research new collaborative communication systems that stakeholders can use to provide feedback.

Research metrics used for a particular type of goal (e.g., participation metrics, satisfaction ratings) and implement one that should be a good fit.

Research best practices across your campus pertaining to services, processes, and policies that your group delivers. Make a proposal to update your group's practices if you see areas for improvement.

Request to work on a university project that is not meeting goals.

Request to work on a task force or initiative for a separate U-M affiliate which will expose you to a different processes and metrics.

Request to join a U-M recruitment committee that is filling a position in an identical or similar unit at a different U-M facility or campus.

Request and encourage feedback from diverse people within a U-M task force or committee that you are involved in.

Repurpose an item at home to perform a different function.

Relaunch an existing product, service, or process that needs to be addressed. Solicit input from end users and explore ideas not attempted before to make adjustments. Consider bringing in others from outside of your immediate group to brainstorm new ideas.

Regularly meet with your DEI Lead to review progress on your unit DEI goals and resources that they may need to achieve them.
