Encourage and promote the use of the U-M Provost holiday calendar when scheduling meeting and events.

Demonstrate continued accountability to those with whom you work: meet deadlines, follow through on commitments.

Create and follow through with conversation guidelines for your team (e.g., everyone has a responsibility to share in discussions, challenge the idea and not the person, speak from experience, listen respectfully).

Create and distribute a sign up for someone in need of visits, meals, help around the house.

Create a network of stakeholders who can trust you with information pertaining to disruptive stakeholders. Honor their confidentiality.

Create a list of talking points before holding a critical conversation with a family member or friend who has treated you poorly.

Communicate clear behavior expectations and associated consequences with one of your children. Communicate them verbally, writing, and post where they can be seen.

Coach a group of rising leaders on how to optimize networking opportunities.

Check your Individual Development Plan (IDP) once every month or two to see how you are meeting goals and objectives. Take actions to catch up if you find yourself falling behind or moving off target.
