Designed to assist faculty and staff in developing the essential leadership skills necessary to lead a team of individuals at U-M, the content will be helpful whether you are in a formal leadership position or not. It is part of the Leadership Development Curriculum.

Understanding and mitigating bias is a lifelong journey. This course provides a review of bias, explores what bias can look like and how it shows up in the workplace. We specifically look at the types of bias common in the workplace and platforms that allow bias to thrive; while discussing strategies you can use to interrupt and mitigate bias.

This online, self-paced toolkit provides an interactive learning experience for university staff to become more knowledgeable about common identities that may make students feel marginalized on the Ann Arbor campus. We will explore common challenges many nontraditional students face and discuss tips and tricks that staff can easily implement to best support students.
