Amy has been a physician assistant for over 23 years. She’s been at Michigan medicine and the department of plastic surgery, specializing in hand surgery for over 20 years. She enjoys making handmade, soaps and lotions, and taking walks with her dog.
Brianna has been with Michigan Medicine for 5 years and supports the Chief of Staff & Chief Administrative Officer in the EVPMA/Dean’s office. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling and gardening.
Brittani Sweet started her career at the university as the Administrative Coordinator for the Office of Development. Celebrating 5 years with the university Brittani has taken on the title of Project Associate with a focus in strategic initatives and facility improvement. Much of Brittani’s accomplishments lie within her department but continuous improvement projects have created an outreach for support across campus.
John Kalogerakos has been with the University of Michigan since 2022. Prior to that, John worked as an account manager, project manager, and marketing and communications manager at various agencies and nonprofits. John has a bachelors degree from Wayne State University and an MFA in Fiction from New York University.
Josh has been a member of the University of Michigan community since 1999 as an undergraduate and then joined Michigan Medicine in 2007. Spending 16 years as a lab manager in the research departments of Human Genetics and Pharmacology, he has loved fulfilling the childhood dream of becoming a scientist. Having recently joined the incredible staff in the Controlled Substance Monitoring Program, he is enjoying a new endeavor into the world of research compliance. When not working, he lives to travel, play with any dog he sees, attend concerts, and visit Skyrim every chance he gets.
Urology Medical Student and Fellowship Coordinator
After graduating from the University of Michigan, Katie left Ann Arbor and spent the next 18 years working in the Physics Department at Cornell University and then managing a private investigating office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She returned to Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan in 2013 with her family to work at the Science Learning Center. She served as the department's DEI Inclusive Culture Liaison and MHealthy Champion for eight years. Her main focus is handling the behind-the-scenes needs for the study group program, helping onboard and support up to 250 student employees each term.
Kimiko has been with Michigan Medicine for 5 years, starting out in the Central Transcription dept and moving within HIM to Patient Portal and Data Integrity. She received her masters in health management and policy from University of Michigan and spent 3 years as an officer in the Navy. She spent 10 years traveling the west coast while her husband finished his Naval service and has lived in CA, WA, HI, RI, and MS. Her current position at MM includes a wide variety of medical record corrections. In her free time, she fosters animals and enjoys watching her son play baseball and run cross country.
After 25 years in the automotive industry, Kristina found her calling in the healthcare industry by creating spaces to provide outstanding patient care for providers and staff
Pediatric Residency Program Coordinator for 5 years.
Laurel joined the M-Pathways Student Administration project in 1999 in an end dated organizational change management role and ended up staying in what became ITS until 2018. One of her career highlights was managing the team that moved dozens of M-Pathways in person training courses into online courses in the early 2000s. For many years at ITS, she managed the staff who created and maintained all training, documentation and change management for ITS systems. She moved to Michigan Medicine HITS in the role of manager of learning management services and recently replaced MLearning with the Cornerstone Talent Management system. She is passionate about all types of learning and sharing her knowledge with others.
I was the Directory of IT at a small private 1099 tax consulting company for about 15 years. When they closed I got work at the University of Michigan at the Institute for Social Research while completing my Master’s in Information Assurance at EMU. After working there for about five years I moved to the ITS Information Assurance Department. Again after five years with IA I took a position at Michigan Engineering in 2022 where I support research security and unit security efforts.
