Engage in dialog with those on a Workplace site about a new trend of innovation that they have shared.

Engage a of group of colleagues in your field to meet to discuss current trends in your field and what their departments are doing to address those trends.

Encourage your mentee to attend an upcoming DEI event with you. Invite other colleagues to join you with their mentees and to discuss the program afterward.

Encourage colleagues whom you work with on U-M committees to take on a challenging assignment within that role. Provide supportive feedback and coaching if you have expertise in that area.

Encourage and promote the use of the U-M Provost holiday calendar when scheduling meeting and events.

Encourage a quiet and reserved colleague to express themselves in a meeting or class.

During the question and answer portion of a panel you are involved in, listen to those with different opinions, and acknowledge their point of view. Ask clarifying questions if needed to respond.
