Unconscious Bias in Recruiting and Hiring

Unconscious bias can exert an influence during the process of recruiting and hiring. This course provides a deeper look into how unconscious bias impacts decision making during the hiring process while looking at interventions to minimize the impact of bias in our hiring and selection processes.

With your direct supervisor, create three goals and action plans to achieve them. Include stretch assignments.

With someone you mentor or coach, review several case studies and identify the cause, the effects and ways that relationships can be repaired.

With a person you are coaching, target in on a particular skill or aptitude they would like to hone (e.g., public speaking). Break it into smaller components. Demonstrate and then invite them to try. Offer positive and constructive feedback including a set of drills or strategies.
