Read articles about your field and share new findings in an email with your group or team.
Read Crucial Accountability and then work to resolve a dispute with family members.
Reach out to colleagues in other units to learn how change and innovation are orchestrated.
Provide frequent, positive and constructive communications to your team so that everyone remains focused on fulfilling the change implementation plan.
Promptly surface conflict. Determine whether it is one that you can address or contact your HR representative for assistance in deciding whether it is one that should go through official grievance procedures or dispute resolution processes.
Play an improv game or take an improv class.
Periodically check in with your committee members to ensure that the line of sight to the mission is still evident. If not, assess and implement a plan to get back on track.
Participate on a university committee that pertains to a service, process or system that interests you.
Participate on a team that serves as a pipeline for new initiatives (e.g., Voices of the Staff).
