Nominate a staff or faculty member to serve on a a committee or work group.

Model the behaviors that you want your direct reports to exhibit; discuss with faculty or staff the behavior expectations you expect of them.

Mentor your mentee about navigating the organization's culture.

Mentor an individual who strives to obtain a leadership position in an organization that you volunteer with. Communicate that individual's intent with other leaders of that organization.

Mentor a student.

Meet with direct reports experiencing difficulties performing particular tasks to determine underlying issues and how best to support them (e.g., peer coach, classes, tips and suggestions).

Meet with a mentor to determine appropriate milestones to set in order to reach a career goal.

Meet one on one with individuals in your group involved in harmful behaviors. Create and implement a behavior plan if necessary.

Mediate a dispute between two parties.
