Darnysus Jackson
Manager
Darnysus Jackson is a Manager within the Office of Patient Experience where he oversees the Engagement and Outreach for his department and team. He has worked at the University of Michigan for 10 years; 4 of those years has been within the Office of Patient Experience. He really enjoys helping and amplifying the patient voice which is one of the primary missions of his department. One way we look to amplify the patient voice is through our Patient Story Library. He has previously been a part of the Parking and Transportation and the Benefits, Health and Wellbeing committees within Voices. He loves sharing with staff throughout the University how great Voices of the Staff is. In his spare time, Darnysus loves officiating basketball for MHSAA which he has been registered to for 15 years and spending time with his friends and family.

Debbie Chamberlain
Finance Member
Debbie Chamberlain is a Finance Manager with the College of Engineering, Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering. She has served the University of Michigan for 25 years in various roles and various departments, and has been in her current position for 8 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and will complete her MBA in April 2021. She previously served on the Voices Human Resources team. In her free time she enjoys scrapbooking with friends, traveling with her husband and kids, and reading.

Donna Hooper
Program Specialist
Donna Hooper (she/her/hers) serves as the program specialist for the Office of the Staff Ombuds, which offers free and confidential conflict management services for all non-bargained-for U-M Ann Arbor and Michigan Medicine Staff. Throughout her ten-year administrative career at U-M, Donna has spearheaded efforts to promote inclusivity and positive workplace/staff culture. Away from the office, her favorite hobbies include cooking, entertaining, and crafting, and most summer nights you’ll find her relaxing with her husband on the family pontoon.

Senior Research Laboratory Specialist and Lab Manager
Erin Bigelow (she/her/hers) is a senior research laboratory specialist and lab manager with the Orthopaedic Surgery department, working on preventing fragility fractures. She has worked at Michigan Medicine since May 2009. She is passionate about employee engagement, community building, and sustainability in the workplace. When not in lab, Erin enjoys cooking, reading, crafting, and spending time with her family.

Josh Simon
Senior Systems Administrator
Josh Simon (he/him) is a senior systems administrator with LSA Technology Services, has been at U-M since May 2008, and is an active participant on university-wide projects such as the Michigan IT News, Michigan IT Symposium, and Voices of the Staff. He's also an election inspector and precinct chair for the City of Ann Arbor. For fun he reads (mostly mysteries and science fiction) and while not a chef he's a decent all-around cook.

Project Manager
Melina Adler (she/her/hers) is a project manager for Michigan Medicine Laboratories in the Department of Pathology. She served Michigan Medicine for 17 years in the Quality Department’s division of Customer Performance Metrics and Improvement and returned to the University of Michigan in 2020 after having managed continuous quality improvement at Denison Consulting, LLC. She enjoys hiking, traveling the world with friends and family, and discovering new people, places and things through the lens of her camera.

Stephanie Laurinec (she/her/hers) is the administrator and manager for the Michigan Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine’s Division of Critical Care. She has worked at the University of Michigan/Michigan Medicine for almost 20 years. Stephanie is passionate about employee engagement, creating a positive work environment and advancing DE&I, and serves as an active member of the Emergency Medicine Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, and their Staff Recognition Committee. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and baking.
