HRRIS provides a variety of expert services to the U-M community:
Records Management
The Human Resources Records Management maintains and manages records and information for the University of Michigan community, including benefits information. Records Management also has the responsibility of processing and maintaining Faculty and Staff records.
HR Data Requests
We provide standard and customized reports about the U-M workforce, including:
- Workforce Metrics
- Annual Salary Disclosure Report
- Faculty and Staff Profile by Headcount and FTE
- Job Classification and 3D Management Communication Report
Targeted Email and Mailing List Request
People looking to send targeted email to or obtain a mailing list of U-M faculty and/or staff for official university business must follow university guidelines and use an online form.
Support to Units for PAR Transactions
PAR Job Aids and other tutorials are available to assist unit and central office administrators with the complexity of the faculty and staff appointment process. We can also provide support with batch uploads and other mass data loads.
User Support
We support users of the M-Pathways Human Resource Management System with customized training, help completing integrated transactions and more. Common topics include pay processing, sabbatical requests (Form J) and compliance training.
Unit Consultation
Our expert team can work with units to provide data or analysis to help units with workforce planning and other strategic initiatives.
Important Note about Unemployment Insurance Claims
For questions on individual claims, contact the State of Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency or another state agency. University Human Resources cannot file or answer questions about individual unemployment claims.
