What is Kids Kare at Home?
Kids Kare at Home is a back-up child care program for families at the University of Michigan. It can be used:
- If your child is sick and cannot be sent to school/child care
- When your regular child care is not available (e.g. inservice day)
By calling the number that is sent to you upon registration, you will be assigned a trained caregiver who will come to your home. (Click here for exceptions: http://hr.umich.edu/worklife/kidskare/faqs.html)
SAFE AT HOME & H1N1
Safe At Home will provide child care to children with H1N1, but service may be limited, due to availability of staff. Read the entire H1N1 policy.
Kids Kare is available for children ages 13 and under (or older children with special needs who cannot be left alone).
