U-M Ann Arbor Campus New Employee Orientation (NEO) New!

This online orientation module focuses on welcoming new staff to the university community. It equips new employees with tools to navigate our decentralized institution. 

You will learn to:

  • Define which U-M policies apply in various situations

  • Utilize employee support resources and optional benefits

  • Identify the benefits available to new employees

  • Select benefits plans appropriate to individual needs

  • Determine career and professional development resources that are available to employees 

You will benefit by: 

  • Gaining an understanding of U-M’s mission, leadership, vision, values, culture, organizational structure and budget

  • Having access to tools, support and resources to navigate our institution as a new employee

  • Employing the next steps in your U-M career and onboarding journey 

  • Getting settled in on the first day so you can be productive in your job more quickly 

Audience: 

New benefit-eligible, regular staff on the Ann Arbor campus, not including Michigan Medicine, Medical School, or Flint and Dearborn staff
