The University of Michigan is required by federal law to complete a Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification for each employee. The purpose of the form is to confirm identity and eligibility for employment in the United States. Section #1 of the form must be completed by the employee on or before the first date of employment and the remainder of the form must be completed during the orientation session. The form requires you to provide specific documents to confirm your identity and eligibility for employment.

You must provide either (1) document from List A; or a combination of (1) document from List B and (1) document from List C. Please review the list carefully to ensure you have the proper identification with you at orientation or you will be required to return to Wolverine Tower to complete the document within the required timeframe.
