If you have U-M Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) for 2024, remember the “use it or lose it” rule.
U-M's FSAs include:
- Health Care FSA
- Dependent Care FSA
- Limited-Purpose FSA – only if you're covered by the Consumer-Directed Health Plan (CDHP)
The deadline to spend the money in your 2024 FSA accounts is Saturday, March 15, 2025. After you spend the funds, you must submit reimbursement claims by Saturday, May 31, 2025. You won't be able to access any money left in your FSA accounts after May 31.
How to File a Claim
Choose one of three ways to submit reimbursement claims for your Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA and/or Limited-Purpose FSA funds:
- Use the Inspira Financial mobile app with a smart device.
- Upload claims on the Inspira Financial member portal. You must create an account first.
- Complete a paper claim form and mail it to Inspira FInancial with your itemized documentation.
View Submitting Claims for Reimbursement for more details.
