Suffer a work-related injury onsite or while working remote? In need of COVID testing or information on quarantining? Occupational Health Services (OHS) is here for you.

Each year OHS serves thousands of Michigan Medicine and Ann Arbor campus faculty and staff for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of occupational illnesses and injuries.

Managing a work-related injury

In spite of the best safety efforts, work-related injuries and illnesses still happen. OHS works with the employee, supervisor, Work Connections and Human Resources to ensure high-quality medical treatment and a smooth process of recovery.

Employees who sustain a work-related injury should call Occupational Health Services to arrange for evaluation. Due to the pandemic, walk-in visits are currently not allowed. OHS is open Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. by appointment only.

If the work-related injury occurs outside of normal OHS business hours or requires a higher level of care, employees should seek emergency medical care. Employees should always follow up with OHS the next business day.

To make an appointment or follow-up, call (734) 764-8021. Learn more on the OHS Work-related Injuries and Illnesses page.

COVID-19 testing and quarantine

OHS is the central point of contact for COVID-19 testing, respirator fit testing, and quarantine information for faculty and staff.

OHS can arrange for testing for employees who qualify based on symptoms or exposure. If you’ve test positive for COVID-19, call the COVID-19 hotline or report your result on the OHS website

If you have questions about testing and quarantining, call the OHS COVID-19 hotline, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. at (734) 764-8021, Option 1. If it’s outside of normal business hours, please leave a message and OHS will follow up the next business day.
