We Are Here for You

leaves in a pond

This year has given us an abundance of challenges. As the election unfolds over the next several hours (or days) you may feel extra anxiety. Fortunately, for those who could benefit from someone to talk to, support is available year-round for all faculty and staff on every campus and at Michigan Medicine.

  • Faculty and Staff Counseling and Consultation Office – Now offering phone and video sessions, as well as virtual support groups and other programs.
  • Michigan Medicine COVID-19 Stress Resource Team and Office of Counseling and Workplace Resilience – Offering in-person support, video or phone sessions, and support groups for Michigan Medicine faculty and staff.
  • New! Crisis Text Line® - Text “4UMICH” (for U-M campus faculty and staff) or “UMICH” (if you are a member of the Michigan Medicine community) to 741741, to connect to a trained crisis volunteer. Text responders are there 24/7 for support and to help you sort through your feelings by asking questions, empathizing, and actively listening. You need not be in crisis to use this service for support and there is no charge for this service.
