Instilling financial literacy from a young age can set the foundation for a lifetime of confident money choices. Starting these conversations early on allows children to develop a healthy relationship with money and understand its role in their lives.

On October 16, parents, caregivers and supportive adults are invited to attend the virtual workshop “From Piggy Banks to Paychecks – Building Confidence with Money.”  You’ll learn practical ideas and strategies for encouraging financial responsibility and independence across your child’s different ages and stages of development – from kindergarten through the pivotal high school years.

Led by Mark Munzenberger, financial education manager, and Nicole Bernacik, financial specialist, both with the University of Michigan Credit Union, you’ll discover ways to discuss money matters in a relatable and age-appropriate manner and build skills for empowering children to grow into financial savvy adults.
