Financial stress affects more than money

Financial stress remains a widespread concern. Recent data indicate 77 to 88 percent of Americans report feeling some form of financial stress. Like other types of stress, financial worries can impact physical and mental health, sleep, relationships and work performance.

Recognizing how much financial stress can affect overall well-being, MHealthy launched the fair two years ago. The event has been well received with one attendee from last year noting, “There was a good mix of folks to talk to, and it was clear that consideration had been given to different ages, different income levels, different life needs in selecting the folks. I got information I could use and saw that there was information other people in other circumstances could use.”
