Financial stress impacts your overall well-being

According to the American Heart Association, 82% of American adults are stressed about money. Like most types of stress, financial worries can impact your physical and mental health, your sleep, your relationships and your performance at work.

Recognizing the impact of financial stress on overall well-being, MHealthy launched the fair last year – an event that was met with appreciation by attendees. One participant shared their positive experience, saying, “We came early to get a little special attention from the vendors. How wonderful and helpful they all were. Thank you for putting on such useful and relevant programs.”

Bri Carpenter, social determinants of health program manager for MHealthy, emphasized the importance of initiatives like the fair, “Taking charge of your financial well-being is a powerful step toward strengthening your overall personal well-being. When you have clarity and feel more secure about your finances, you are better able to thrive physically and mentally in other aspects of your life.”
