More than 500 staff and faculty members across the university and Michigan Medicine currently volunteer as MHealthy Champions. Hundreds of employees also serve on Wellness Committees. Both help to support a culture of well-being in their units and departments and foster connection among their co-workers. They also help to identify their coworkers’ interests and find programs and resources that best fit their well-being needs.
If you know of an MHealthy Champion or Wellness Committee that has gone above and beyond to create a positive culture of well-being within their area, consider nominating them for one of the following Champion Awards:
Dr. Robert A. Winfield MHealthy Champion Award
This award recognizes MHealthy Champions who:

Have a strong commitment to building a culture of well-being.

Make a positive difference in their department or work unit.

Demonstrate commitment to their Champion role.

Model inclusivity and diversity in their work and outreach within their department or work unit.

Have served at least one full term (two years) as an MHealthy Champion.
The winning Champion will receive a monetary gift card!

LaVaughn Palma-Davis Wellness Committee Award
This award recognizes Wellness Committees that:

Are positively affecting the culture of well-being in their department, building or area.

Model inclusivity and diversity in the committee's make-up and in the areas of outreach to their departments and units.

Are led by an MHealthy Champion and have been active for at least one year.
The winning committee will receive a shared trophy and each member will receive a monetary gift card!
