Small actions around your finances can make a big impact. That’s where the new Money Matters virtual gameboard can help! Over 28 days, you’ll journey along the path boosting your knowledge around money and personal finances – one square at a time.
Registration is now open on the MHealthy Portal. Starting April 7, complete quick, daily tasks designed to:
-
Test and expand your financial knowledge.
-
Gain awareness about your personal financing.
-
Reflect on your current financial habits.
The launch of Money Matters coincides with April being recognized as National Financial Capability Month.
“Financial well-being is one of the key dimensions of overall personal well-being,” says Bri Carpenter, social determinants of health program manager for MHealthy. “Having a basic understanding of your finances improves your ability to make informed financial decisions for yourself and your family, gives you peace of mind and can ease financial stress.”
The Money Matters gameboard is an interactive experience designed to grow your knowledge day by day. A new task is unlocked daily with topics ranging from budgeting and saving money to managing debt and improving credit scores. Your goal is to travel along the virtual path and complete all 28 days.
For extra encouragement along the way, you’ll receive weekly emails with additional tips and resources. You can also download the Asset Health app from the Apple App Store or Google Play to access the Money Matters gameboard from your mobile device and set up push notifications for Money Matters reminders.
The Money Matters Gameboard is open to active, benefits-eligible faculty and staff and their spouse/other qualified adult enrolled in a U-M health plan.
