Small, steady steps can make a real difference when it comes to your personal finances and overall financial well-being. Money Matters, a new virtual gameboard from MHealthy, can help. This interactive experience helps participants boost their knowledge around money and finances, one square at a time.

Registration is now open for Money Matters on the MHealthy Portal. Starting April 6, participants can begin their 28-day journey along the path, completing quick, daily tasks designed to:

  • Test money knowledge.

  • Raise awareness around personal financing.

  • Prompt reflection on their current financial habits.

A new task is unlocked each day, with topics ranging from budgeting and saving money to managing debt and improving credit scores. The goal is to journey along the virtual path and complete all 28 days. For encouragement along the way, participants will receive weekly emails with additional tips and resources.

The launch of Money Matters coincides with April being recognized as National Financial Capability Month.

“Financial well-being is a key part of overall well-being,” says Bri Carpenter, social determinants of health program manager for MHealthy. “When finances feel uncertain, stress often follows. Taking small steps to understand your money can help you make informed decisions, feel more secure, and ease financial stress for you and your family.”

Access the Money Matters gameboard on the MHealthy Portal, powered by Asset Health or by downloading the Asset Health app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once the app is set up, participants can also allow for notifications for Money Matters reminders.

The Money Matters Gameboard is open to active, benefits-eligible faculty and staff and their spouse/other qualified adult enrolled in a U-M health plan.

Sign up today on the MHealthy Portal. Your 28-day journey toward better financial well-being starts April 6! To learn more about the Money Matters Gameboard Journey, visit the MHealthy website.
