Non-union staff members can review the candidate statements and vote at the University Human Resources website. Only those staff members eligible to vote will be able to access the candidate information.

The newly elected committee member will begin their term September 1. The six-member committee is comprised of two student members, two faculty members (Senate and non-Senate faculty), and two staff members (union and non-union), nominated and elected by their peers for two-year terms. Student members serve one-year terms

The committee reviews and makes recommendations regarding grievances against any police officer or the U-M Police Department. It reports its findings and recommendations to the Executive Director, Division of Public Safety and Security.
