Remote employment

The University of Michigan’s global focus on innovation and study includes some employees who work out of state or outside of the United States, as well as non-U.S. citizens who work for U-M outside of the country.

This site will guide managers and staff members working remotely to forms and information needed to ensure they are up to date in terms of benefits, taxes and more.

Remote work guidelines are applicable to all employees who are required, or request, to work at a remote location.

U-M employees traveling abroad can find travel-related requirements and resources on the Global Michigan website.

Staff responsible for off-campus programs can find resources on the Global Michigan Administrators Tools website.
