Thank you for considering making a donation to provide funds for the University of Michigan Emergency Hardship Program (EHP). Through your generosity we can sustain an ongoing program to help the faculty and staff community care for colleagues in need. One hundred percent of your donation will go to fund grants for faculty and staff in need.

Contributions can be made in 3 ways:

  1. Contribute securely online with a credit card at: http://www.giving.umich.edu/give/fasap

  2. Faculty and staff members may make contributions through payroll deduction on a one-time or continuing basis by:

    • Go to Wolverine Access http://wolverineaccess.umich.edu/

    • Click on Employee Business and sign in with your uniqname and password

    • Click on Voluntary Deductions located under the header "Payroll and Compensation"

    • Click on Add Deduction

    • Click on the small magnifying glass icon located to the right of the "Type of Deduction" field

    • Click on UGIFT-Gifts to University

    • Click on Designated Contributions Here

    • Enter Code 315478 in the screen that ask for the code (for the fund) and click on Code to designate the EHP


  3. Contribute by check, payable to "the University of Michigan" with "The Emergency Hardship Program" in the memo. Mail to:

More Information For Donors:

  • The Emergency Hardship Program is administered by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, under the oversight of University Human Resources.

  • EHP Donations are processed through the University’s Office of Gift Administration and credited to the Program.

  • All contributions go to help colleagues in need.

  • The University is the steward of the funds and money is disbursed only upon approval. Payment is made directly to the creditor – funds are not provided directly to the individual applicant.

  • All contributions will receive a charitable tax deduction receipt.

  • All funds used for grants are donated – General Fund dollars and restricted University funds are never used.
