  • In 2005, President Mary Sue Coleman launched the Child Care Initiative with the goals of increasing child care capacity, increasing capacity for infants and toddlers and improving the facilities in which care is provided.  As of July 2011, these goals have now been achieved. The original five Ann Arbor campus centers have been consolidated into three children’s centers, all serving infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

  • The University of Michigan Early Childhood Education and Care Programs have a new name and a new website! As part of the consolidation of the University of Michigan children’s programs under the administrative umbrella of Business and Finance, we’ve consolidated our center operations into three centers all serving infants, toddlers and preschoolers, changed our name to Early Childhood Education and Care programs and redesigned our website to better meet the needs families seeking care.
