You are invited to join a free, eight-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course this fall. The class is offered via Zoom by MHealthy and Health and Well-Being Services.

The MBSR program teaches simple meditation and movement exercises to help lower stress, anxiety, and even some types of pain. Classes will be held every Thursday from September 18 to November 6, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will also be a whole-day retreat on Saturday, October 25.

Participants will be asked to practice mindfulness at home for about 45 minutes each day. The course will be interactive and led by Kelcey Stratton, chief behavioral strategist for University Human Resources. Everyone will have a chance to talk and share during the sessions.

“MBSR is an evidence-based approach designed to promote many aspects of mental health and well-being,” Kelcey said. “Through the class discussions and personal practice, you’ll develop skills to bring more awareness, wisdom, and presence to your everyday life.”

Space is Limited. Register for MBSR Today!

If you are interested, you must attend a required information session on Thursday, September 4, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. You can sign up here for the information session.
