Communication Styles in the Workplace: Learning in Action Lab New!

This lab is a sequel to Communication Styles in the Workplace. In this session, you'll adapt your communication style using real-world scenarios. We will engage in role-plays to elevate your skills and spark peer feedback. Plus, you will build your confidence using the powerful Straight Talk® framework.

You will learn to:

  • Apply the Straight Talk® communication styles in realistic workplace conversations
  • Flex your communication style to improve connection and understanding
  • Adapt your style based on feedback 

You will benefit by:

  • Boosting your self-awareness and personal productivity
  • Using better communication with others to enhance work efficiency
  • Decreasing or even eliminating conflicts that occur from individual differences in style
  • Enhancing your collaboration skills

Any U-M faculty or staff member who has taken the Communication Styles in the Workplace course and seeks to deepen their communication effectiveness through practice
