This year’s Open Enrollment takes place Monday, Oct. 12, through 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23.
This is your annual opportunity to change your health, dental, vision, and legal plan enrollments, add eligible dependents, and enroll in 2027 flexible spending accounts (FSAs).
Benefit changes and new rates take effect Jan. 1, 2027.
What’s New for 2027
Open Enrollment 2027 features:
-
New Priority Health Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) health plan

2027 FSA Limits
Employees must re-enroll each year to participate in a flexible spending account. The IRS does not allow FSA enrollments to carry over from one year to the next.
For 2027, the Health Care FSA limit will increase to $3,400. The Health Care FSA can be used to pay for eligible medical care expenses for you and your eligible dependents.
You can enroll in 2027 Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts during Open Enrollment using Wolverine Access.
For more information, view the Flexible Spending Accounts web page.

The Benefits Office encourages U-M community members to carefully evaluate health plans based on cost, provider network and anticipated use of health care services.
