The election for a non-union staff member to serve a two-year term on the University of Michigan Police Department Oversight Committee is now underway and continues through 11:59 p.m. Aug. 9.

Non-union staff members can review the candidate statements and vote at the University Human Resources website. Please note, that you may need to refresh your browser to view the voting form. Only those staff members eligible to vote will be able to access the candidate information.

The newly elected committee member will begin their term on August 19.

The six-member PDOC comprises two student members, two faculty members (one Senate and one non-Senate faculty), and two staff members (one union and one non-union), nominated and elected by their peers for two-year terms.

The committee reviews grievances against any university police officer and makes recommendations to the executive director of the Division of Public Safety and Security. Learn more about the Police Department Oversight Committee.
