Juggling Work and Back-to-School Schedules?

Family fun in Fall

Summer is quickly fading and that means new back-to-school schedules for many families. Plus, many of us are getting reacclimated to in-person work (and many more soon will). To help juggle it all, check out the family-to-family support posting board. Employees and students can create and respond to posts about sharing resources and providing unpaid support such as occasional child care, tutoring and learning support, eldercare, and pet care.

Once you've made a connection on the site, you can follow up independently to discuss arrangements.

Searching for Child Care Options?

Two of the most comprehensive resources are the Great Start and Licensing public databases. They provide contact information for all licensed child care centers and homes in the state. Please note: while basic information is updated by the State of Michigan, you will need to reach out to individual centers and homes of your choice to inquire about openings, rates, etc. See additional state resources, and note that licensed child care programs have Guidelines During COVID-19

More Work-Life Resources

There are other resources throughout the community that provides child care, tutoring, and other services to meet the needs faced by families. A listing can be found on the Work-Life Resource Center website.
