January Programs Offer Support for Your Tobacco-Free Journey

Thinking of quitting tobacco? Ready to quit? Good for you – there probably isn’t a better way to improve your health! Quitting tobacco is difficult, but also doable. No matter where you’re at on your journey, MHealthy’s Tobacco Consultation Service (TCS) can help. 

Thinking About Quitting Tobacco Workshop, January 5

If you’re thinking about quitting tobacco or vaping but aren’t sure how to start, attend the 30-minute “Thinking About Quitting Tobacco” virtual workshop on January 5 from 12  – 12:30 p.m. Registration is now open.

Whether you have never quit before or you have tried many times, you’ll learn what support is available to you through the university and get your questions answered in a pressure-free environment.

  • Meet one of TCS’s caring Tobacco Treatment Specialists in a welcoming, judgment-free environment. 

  • Discover how TCS can help to empower and support you on your journey toward a tobacco-free life. 

  • Learn about the benefits of quitting tobacco or vaping.

  • Learn about treatment, support and resources available when you’re ready to start your tobacco free and/or vape free journey. 

  • When you’re ready to take the first step, access free individual or group tobacco counseling.  

Freedom From Smoking Program starts January 14 

MHealthy’s Tobacco Consultation Service has partnered with the American Lung Association to offer Freedom From Smoking®. This is a free, seven-week group program that helps you develop a plan of action that leads to your quit day. You’ll also get the support you need to remain tobacco-free for life.

A new virtual group session starts Wednesday, January 14 from 12 – 1:30 p.m. To register, complete this form. To get the full experience, please register before the first session. Weekly sessions are on Wednesdays through February 25.
