Everyone needs a will – not just the rich and famous. Yet Caring.com’s 2025 wills study found that only 24% of American adults had a will, highlighting the importance of planning ahead.

On Oct. 20, attend "Getting Your Affairs in Order: Legacy Planning," a virtual workshop led by Sam Nuxoll, a trusts and estates professor at the U-M Law School.

This is an opportunity to:

  • Get practical advice for organizing your affairs and planning your legacy.

  • Learn what documents and information you should prepare.

  • Determine whether you’ll need an attorney and, if so, how to find one.

  • Understand what to expect at each step of the process.

Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2026
Time: 12-1 p.m.
Presenters: Sam Nuxoll, U-M’s Office of General Counsel and a trusts and estates professor at the U-M Law School
