3-Step Prep for Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for 2027 benefits takes place Monday, Oct. 12, through 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23. During this annual enrollment period, you can change your health, dental, vision, and legal coverage. 

If you’d like to enroll in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for 2027, you also can do so during Open Enrollment.

Step One: Mark Your Calendar

The first step is to mark your calendar. Whether you use Google Calendar or another calendar application, make sure you know when Open Enrollment starts and ends. 

Step Two: Review Benefits Rates and Plan Options

Now is the time to review your current benefits and decide if you want to make changes for next year. 

To view 2027 benefits rates, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Wolverine Access.

  2. Enter “Benefits” in the search bar.

  3. Click the Benefits Self-Service tile.

  4. Click the Display Benefit Plan Rates tile.

As you focus on your benefits, it’s also a good time to ensure the following details are current:

  • Review your beneficiary designations for your U-M life insurance and retirement savings plan accounts to ensure they reflect your current wishes.

  • Confirm that your home address is accurate. To check or make updates, go to Wolverine Access; search “Campus Personal Information” and click the tile; click Addresses; then click edit Current Local, if necessary.
