The Office of Recruiting and Employment Services is a unit of Staff HR Services.  The office develops and maintains the University’s job posting and applicant management systems and related policies and processes in order to assist University of Michigan departments in the recruitment and retention of an outstanding workforce.

Services include:

  • Temporary Staffing Services (TSS)
  • New Employee on-boarding and Orientation processes for staff hires
  •  Reduction-In-Force (RIF) case management
  • Leaves of absence administration for the positions within the career classification system and for staff represented by various bargaining units
  • Job fairs, career conferences and college and high school recruiting activities
  • Diversity Recruitment  
  • Coordination of the  I-9 Compliance Officer Network
  • Dual Career services for certain positions
  • Provision of information on employment-related vendor services
