From Skill Gaps to Career Growth: LinkedIn Learning + LinkedIn Profile Essentials

In this interactive session we will review how to identify priority skills for your role and career goals. We will also cover how to quickly find the best LinkedIn Learning content to build them. You’ll practice using the AI Coach, Career Plan and Career Path features. This will help turn skill gaps into a clear, step-by-step learning plan. We will uncover simple ways to share learning achievements with your LinkedIn network and keep your profile current. Join us to be ready for performance conversations—and when your dream role at U-M opens up!

This course replaces Rock Your LinkedIn Profile and includes new topics and updated resources. Individuals who have taken the previous course may find some of the content repetitive.

About the Presenter:

Lindsey Kiraly will be joining from LinkedIn. She brings more than 20 years of experience in education, beginning her career as an elementary (K–6) classroom teacher. She earned a Master of Education in learning, design, and technology from Penn State. She spent seven years at Penn State as an instructional designer before leading IT Learning and Development, the institution’s technology training unit. In her current role as a LinkedIn Learning customer success manager, Lindsey partners with colleges and universities nationwide to help upskill and empower campus communities.

  1. Select "Register Yourself" and/or log into My LINC

  2. Navigate to the course you are interested in if needed

  3. Select "Register" then "Express Interest" at the bottom of the page

You will be notified when a new session is created with an opportunity to register. Individuals who are on the waiting list for a session will be added to the Express Interest List if they were unable to attend their desired session.
