The university was recently notified of a data security incident that occurred at Wolverine Solutions Group, a company that performs services for health-related clients including Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), a health plan provider to U-M.
Approximately 70 U-M employees may have been impacted.
By early January, notifications will be sent by U.S. mail to those employees. The notification letters will provide details of the incident and each employee who may have been affected will be offered two years of credit protection monitoring by BCBS.
Notification letters will be sent from Wolverine Solutions Group and will include instructions to activate AllClear ID protection without cost. View a sample of the notification letter from Wolverine Solutions Group.
