OnboardingA2 Maizey is a U-M Ann Arbor Campus onboarding support chatbot designed to help newly hired staff quickly find clear, consistent answers to common “how do I…?” and “where do I…?” questions during their first days, weeks and months on the job. It uses generative AI to provide conversational, easy-to-follow guidance while grounding every response in official U‑M web content, helping reduce confusion, repeat inquiries, and time spent searching across multiple sites. Access is available to new staff once their U‑M account has been created and they have set a UMICH password, enabling an authenticated experience aligned with university access practices. The tool is intended to complement—not replace—HR partners and unit onboarding; it provides fast self-service answers and links back to the authoritative U‑M sources so users can verify details and take action confidently.
