Voices of the Staff accepting applications in March; Annual Report highlights recent contributions

Voices of the Staff (Voices) is accepting applications for membership March 1 - 31.

Voices is about improving the workplace for all staff through employee engagement. To accomplish this, Voices offers the opportunity for staff from every area of the university to work together on important issues to our community which often times leads to dialog with university leadership. 

For more than 11 years, hundreds of staff members have volunteered their time and talents to create impactful results that improve the workplace for all. The most recent Voices of the Staff Annual Report highlights these efforts.

Recent key accomplishments include:

  • Developing several Diversity, Equity and Inclusion events
  • Hosting more than 400 staff members for U-M StaffWorks, a best practice and technology conference for staff, by staff

Who can apply?

This coming March, all staff who have more than one year of service and an interest in improving the workplace for all, are encouraged to apply. Learn more about Voices of the Staff and talk with your supervisor about supporting your interest. Watch for more details to apply beginning March 1.
